Congratulations to Dr. London-Vargas on her recent publication, and a "thank you" to London Publishing & Company for the speedy delivery of my book "Faces of Diversity" 2nd Edition. For many years I have worked in marketing management and have found that I have experienced or can relate to what Dr. Vargas has written with respect to race, gender, and class in Corporate America. What I enjoy most about her book is that the subject matter is addressed appropriately leaving room for an intelligent discussion and serves as a vehicle for personal growth. I purchased this book because, after being a stay-at-home mom for many years, I am now ready to go back into the work force and I thought this book would be very helpful to me. I really enjoyed reading "Faces of Diversity." The text validated many of my experiences in a multicultural/multiracial work environment. I also gained a great deal of insight about the social origins of ingroup and outgroup conflict and what today's workers are looking for when they look to management to facilitate diverse interests in the workplace. I highly recommend this book for supervisors and managers that are interested in working through diversity issues that interfere with the bottom line of business.
